Zionists worry about cyber attacks on phones, cars.
According to the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar, the October 2023 Operation Al-Aqsa Storm continues to have significant security implications for Israel. The latest sign of these implications is a new security order that, according to Hebrew media reports, will ban the use of Android-based mobile phones by senior officers of the Israeli army in all military activities from December and require the use of iPhones.
According to Al-Akhbar, this decision is not a purely technical measure, but rather reflects the growing concern of the Israeli regime about the possibility of cyber intrusion into smart equipment; a concern that includes mobile phones, cars equipped with navigation systems, and other smart devices. In the same context, Israeli security units have also removed hundreds of Chinese-made vehicles from the control of senior commanders, as the location and movement data of these vehicles is transferred to the manufacturing companies.
Al-Akhbar wrote: Despite the re-selection of the aforementioned phone, Israeli officials admit that this device is also not completely secure, but they consider it a less risky option compared to Android phones. Security experts see this decision as a sign of a change in Israel’s approach; a change according to which security superiority depends not only on the ability to penetrate enemy systems, but also on the ability to prevent enemy penetration.
According to the report, the view of Israeli security agencies is that no technology is neutral or completely secure, and smart devices – which are built in a global network of production and design – can themselves become security vulnerabilities. For this reason, Israel has been forced to resort to measures that were previously usually considered exclusive to more vulnerable countries.
