PNN – Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic candidate for mayor of New York, described himself as Donald Trump’s worst nightmare.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoted by Russia Al Youm, Zohran Mamdani said in a press conference in response to reports that the US President is considering interfering in the mayoral race and is looking for a candidate who is capable of defeating him: Donald Trump has not contacted me.
In another part of his speech, he emphasized that his stance on the US government will not be a hasty reaction, but a clear stance in opposition to Trump’s policies, especially when those policies harm the interests of New Yorkers or come at the expense of the well-being of the people he seeks to serve.

Mamdani said: If President Trump is just after money, as he said during his campaign that is one thing and if he is true to his promises to lower the prices of basic goods that is another. But what scares him about my campaign is that it shows how he has betrayed the people we represent.
At the end of the conference, he asked: How do you describe a president who has proposed revoking the citizenship of a Democratic candidate for mayor of New York? How do you describe a president who has considered deporting and arresting me or taking control of the city against the will of his people? These are the actions of a president who is afraid that I will keep my promises, while he has betrayed his own.
Zahran Mamdani, 33, born in Uganda to Indian parents, became a U.S. citizen in 2018 and has attracted widespread media attention and controversy for his outspoken support for Palestinian rights.
