Despite the continued movement of some commercial ships and the passage of a limited number of ships through the strait, the overall picture remains unclear, as hundreds of ships remain stranded in the waters of the region.

According to a report by Al Jazeera’s Asmaa Mohammed, a total of more than 20 commercial ships have passed through the Strait of Hormuz in the past 24 hours since the naval blockade imposed by US President Donald Trump against Iran came into effect; meanwhile, more than 800 ships are still stuck in the Persian Gulf.
