PNN – Al-Masirah network has released exclusive documents obtained from the Saudi Ministry of Defense, detailing the organizational structure of forces stationed in Al-Mukha province, the extent of the Saudi military presence, and the level of its involvement in Yemeni affairs.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing Yemen’s Al-Masirah network, the documents acquired by the television channel include “top secret” classified files. These contain military mission lists, organizational structures, official correspondence, and a breakdown of the various components of Saudi forces in Al-Mukha—covering operations, intelligence, command and control, administration, logistics, as well as security and protection.
These documents also indicate that Saudi forces in Al-Mukha, in southern Yemen, are exclusively responsible for managing the mobilization of Yemeni mercenaries.
According to Al-Masirah, the obtained documents reveal that the administrative structure of the so-called “Joint Forces” in Al-Mukha contains no mention of Yemeni commanders; the organizational structure of the Saudi base in Al-Mukha comprises 135 military and administrative positions.
Al-Masirah added that the lists include the names of 54 officers, as well as 148 non-commissioned officers and enlisted personnel, assigned to the forward operational base in Al-Mukha. These lists encompass personnel from air defense units, the strategic missile force, and Special Forces, all intended to reinforce the Al-Mukha base and its targeting unit.
These documents indicate that the organizational structure of the forward base in Al-Mukha includes units for operations, planning, fire support, reconnaissance, and intelligence.
The recovered documents also list the officers assigned to the forward operational base in Al-Mukha and show that they report to the Sharurah Force Command in Al-Wadi’ah.
Documents obtained from the Saudi Ministry of Defense reveal a request to establish an intelligence database covering the political and tribal affiliations of Yemeni governors and senior officials. The requested information includes details on tribal and social structures, religious leanings, and the political allegiances of the Yemeni population.
These documents also revealed that a request was made for information regarding armed forces and organizations, as well as their roles and the extent of their influence over Yemeni officials and the general public. Furthermore, a report on the political and social situation in Yemen’s provinces was requested from the Joint Forces’ intelligence department.
According to a report by Al-Masirah network, this correspondence indicates that the commander of the Joint Forces approved an organizational structure that includes a division dedicated to monitoring the political and social affairs of Yemeni factions.
In 2015, following its military intervention in Yemen, Saudi Arabia imposed a land, air, and sea blockade on the impoverished nation. The United States joined this blockade in October 2016, though it later claimed to have reversed that decision.
