PNN – Iraqi news sources reported the meeting and consultation of the Prime Minister of this country with the President of the Republic of Egypt on regional issues and bilateral relations between the two countries.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting from Waa news agency, the office of Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani announced in a statement that he met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Al-Alamin city.
During this meeting, al-Sudani pointed out the depth of the relations between Iraq and Egypt and the cooperation between them in order to maintain the stability of the region.
He emphasized: Iraq has stability, it is a factor of strength for all brothers and friends in the region, and our government acts on the issue of developments in the region with regard to the supreme interests of Iraq.

Al-Sudani continued: Iraq can be a point of intersection and convergence between the countries of the region and friendly countries.
In another part of his statement, the Iraqi Prime Minister praised Egypt’s efforts to establish a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, stressing that the silence of the international community encourages the Zionist regime to cross all red lines.
Al-Sisi also emphasized during this meeting: Iraq is strong, the pillar of the region and Arab countries, and the views of the two countries regarding joint cooperation are the same.
The President of the Republic of Egypt further praised the actions of the Iraqi government in order to establish stability and development and economic opening at the level of regional countries and the world.
According to the statement of Al-Sudani’s office, the two sides also discussed the war in the Gaza Strip and emphasized the right of Palestine to establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
Al-Sisi and Al-Sudani further emphasized that regional developments require continued coordination between Iraq and Egypt with other friendly and brotherly countries.
