American senators oppose to providing security guarantees to Saudi Arabia.

American senators’ opposition to providing security guarantees to Saudi Arabia.

According to Reuters, American Democratic senators expressed their concern by publishing a letter about any provision of security guarantees or nuclear assistance by the American government to Saudi Arabia.

In their letter, these democratic representatives, while supporting the possibility of an agreement to normalize relations between Saudi Arabia and the Zionist regime, described the provision of any American security guarantee to Saudi Arabia as worrisome and demanded to stop this process.

These senators, whose number has been announced as 20, emphasized in their letter to Joe Biden, the President of the United States, that if the United States government meets the demands of Riyadh in exchange for the establishment of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Tel Aviv, they will bring this issue to the Congress in It will put him in front of the White House and lead to the deepening of internal divisions in Washington.

This is despite the fact that “John Kirby”, the spokesperson of the US National Security Council, said earlier: The consultations are moving forward with the aim of reaching an agreement to normalize relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel (the Zionist regime).

He added: So far, these consultations have led to the finalization of the main framework of the future agreement on the normalization of relations between Riyadh and Tel Aviv.

John Kirby, who, in addition to his main position as the coordinator of strategic relations in the White House, is also active, further said: Saudi Arabia and Israel have determined the basic framework of this agreement in order to move towards its realization.

He added: As with any complex agreement, the two sides (Riyadh and Tel Aviv) must make concessions in order to finalize this agreement.

John Kirby, however, did not mention the possible content of these concessions or withdrawals.

On the other hand, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken spoke last Thursday about the prospect of normalizing relations between Tel Aviv and Riyadh. He emphasized the profound impact that normalization could have on the region, saying, “First, if we can get there, it will be transformative. Go back to 1979, even earlier – and its move towards a much more stable and integrated regional vision for the rapprochement of the leading Islamic state with Israel, which will have repercussions beyond the Middle East. So if it can be achieved, I think it will be transformative.”

However, he acknowledged the difficulties and complications in this path and stated: “Achieving the normalization of Tel Aviv-Riyadh relations is not easy. “There are some really tough issues on the table that we’re working on.”

“I don’t want to get too hung up on the difficulties, but I can say this: I think we’re invested in testing this,” Blinken continued. I believe so are the Saudis and Israelis. But we still have hope. “It is necessary to grapple with many difficult practical problems, and when we may reach the goal, we do not know.”

The statements of the US Secretary of State are being made while there are contradictory statements about the negotiations regarding the normalization of Tel Aviv-Riyadh relations.

While Saudi Arabia has not yet officially recognized the Israeli regime and did not participate in the 2020 Ibrahim agreement brokered by Donald Trump, American officials now consider the prospect of normalizing relations between Riyadh and Tel Aviv as likely.

Last week, an official in the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Riyadh has informed Washington that it will stop any negotiations related to the normalization of relations with Tel Aviv or any action towards it.
