Atwan: Iran foiled America’s Israeli plan in negotiations

PNN – Abdul Bari Atwan, referring to Iran’s intelligence in the Islamabad negotiations, drew bitter scenarios for Trump.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Abdul Bari Atwan, editor-in-chief of the trans-regional newspaper Rai al-Youm and a prominent analyst of the Arab world, addressed the failure of the Islamabad talks and US President Donald Trump’s fumbling in the Strait of Hormuz in his new editorial for this electronic newspaper, writing: When US Vice President J.D. Vance admits that the main issue for Trump in the Islamabad talks was removing enriched uranium from Iran and ensuring that it would not be enriched in the future, this at first glance means that the Islamabad talks had reached a deadlock from the very beginning, and the one who set their agenda and determined their course from afar was Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the occupation regime, not Trump and the US.

Iran’s cleverness in negotiations thwarted the plans of the US and Israel

Abdul Bari Atwan added: Israel, through the United States and its President Trump, wanted to repeat two deceptions; the first related to the Iraq war under the pretext of destroying weapons of mass destruction, and the second related to Libya by dismantling its nascent nuclear program, which was monitored remotely by Pakistani nuclear expert Abdul Qadeer Khan.

He emphasized: However, the Iranian negotiators, understanding America’s real goals, were very astute during all the indirect negotiations in Muscat and Geneva, or in Vienna, which lasted nearly two years, and for this reason they did not deviate even a millimeter from their insistence on absolute freedom in enriching uranium and its levels, and maintaining sufficient quantities of it; because the Iranian leadership knew very well that the scenario of aggression and then occupation, which was implemented in Libya and Iraq, under deceptive titles such as reforms, democracy, and human rights, would be repeated in Iran, and the enemy’s plan was ready.

The article continues: The person who ended the Islamabad negotiations, or rather, led them to failure, was the intelligence of the Iranian delegation and its head, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the speaker of the parliament, who combined politics and militarism in his personality, and is considered a prominent leader of the fundamentalist axis. In fact, the Iranian delegation was aware of all the details of the American-Israeli plan and opposed negotiations on the two clauses of stopping enrichment and transferring enriched uranium outside Iran.

The editor of Rai-Al-Youm newspaper continued: Ali Nikzad, the deputy speaker of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly, who was a member of the negotiating team, emphasized that the US military operation aimed at landing a force of Marines in southern Isfahan was not to search for American pilots whose F-15 plane had been shot down, but rather to search for and seize enriched uranium reserves that US and Israeli intelligence services believed were located in an Iranian nuclear facility in the targeted area.

Trump’s fall in the Strait of Hormuz Quagmire

According to this article, this major American defeat in both military and negotiation areas was very difficult for Trump and Netanyahu, and for this reason, the former (Trump), provoked by the latter (Netanyahu), decided to appear with a new threat to impose a blockade on all Iranian ports to prevent its oil exports, and to intercept any oil ship or truck that pays tolls to the Iranian treasury in exchange for passing through the Strait of Hormuz; after Iran rejected the American proposal to create a new legal system for the Strait of Hormuz and divide the tolls that would be applied within its framework.

Atwan emphasized: Netanyahu was the only one who approved and supported the US blockade of Iranian ports; a blockade that Tehran called “piracy” and threatened to confront with force, and for this reason, if the safety of Iranian ports is threatened, none of the ports of the Persian Gulf countries will be safe.

The Strait of Hormuz will become the graveyard of Netanyahu and Trump

The Palestinian writer added: In the 40-day war, which ended with the failure of all its plans, the United States misjudged the strength and effectiveness of Iranian forces, because the Iranian regime is still powerful, its army still dominates the Strait of Hormuz, has preserved its uranium reserves, and succeeded in shooting down 20 aircraft, two of which were stealth aircraft. It should be noted that these American failures will continue to be repeated, and will be consolidated in the battle for the blockade of ports that has now begun.

According to this note, tens of millions of martyrs are awaiting any US ground invasion of Iran, and hundreds of boats are ready to move and blow up and sink any American warship that approaches the Strait of Hormuz. So, surely this strait will become the graveyard of Trump and his master Netanyahu, just as the Suez Canal was the graveyard of Robert Anthony Eden, the then British Prime Minister who led the Trilateral Aggression in 1956, and that is why Keir Starmer, the current British Prime Minister, and his French partner, Emmanuel Macron, the country’s President, were at the forefront of opposing any US blockade of the Strait of Hormuz to prevent certain defeat… and the coming days will prove everything.
