PNN – The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has acknowledged the lack of security in Riyadh by cancelling the Arab-European summit.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; the GCC’s decision to postpone the planned summit between the leaders of the Council and their European counterparts serves as an explicit admission that Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, is unsafe.
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), headquartered in Riyadh, has announced the postponement of a summit between the GCC and the European Union, which was scheduled to take place on October 24th.
By stating that the rescheduling—effectively the cancellation of the planned meeting—was made out of a desire to ensure the safety of the participating delegations, the GCC has implicitly acknowledged that the Saudi capital is unsafe.
Previously, Yemen’s official news agency, citing a military source, had warned that investing in Saudi Arabia is no longer safe.
