PNN – A move by a Saudi network to censor the remarks of the preacher of the Grand Mosque sparked controversy.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Arabi21, Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ikhbariyah channel censored part of the remarks made by Sheikh Saleh bin Humaid, the preacher of the Grand Mosque, during Friday prayers. In that censored portion, he had stressed that everyone should present Palestinian children to their own children as a model of heroism and manliness in the face of the Zionist regime.
Social media users reacted by criticizing the censorship of this part of the Grand Mosque preacher’s remarks.
The preacher of the Grand Mosque also said that Palestine and Jerusalem would remain in the hearts of Muslims and Arabs.
