PNN – The South Korean Foreign Ministry announced in a statement: The Seoul Foreign Minister discussed with his Iranian counterpart the safety of Korean ships and navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al Jazeera, the Seoul Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Sunday regarding a telephone conversation between the foreign ministers of Iran and South Korea, saying: South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun discussed with his Iranian counterpart Seyyed Abbas Araghchi the safety of Korean ships and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

A statement issued by the Seoul Ministry of Foreign Affairs in this regard stated: The South Korean Foreign Minister asked his Iranian counterpart to investigate the situation related to the incident of targeting a Korean ship.

This comes hours after the media announced that South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun had a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi regarding the latest regional developments.
