PNN – A Zionist media outlet has revealed details regarding a threatening phone call made on July 16, 2025, by Benjamin Netanyahu—the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime—to Abu Mohammad al-Jolani, the self-proclaimed president of Syria.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; the Zionist outlet i24NEWS reported on this threatening call from Netanyahu to al-Jolani.

The report states that during the conversation, Netanyahu demanded the immediate withdrawal of Syrian forces from As-Suwayda province, warning al-Jolani that Israeli attacks would intensify if they failed to withdraw. Al-Jolani requested a 48-hour grace period to address the situation, but Netanyahu rejected the request.

According to an i24NEWS report, Netanyahu—referring to what he termed a “genocide against the Druze”—warned al-Julani that his forces must withdraw from Sweida by 10:00 PM that same day. Meanwhile, Israel carried out strikes against targets in Damascus that day, including positions linked to al-Jolani’s “Ministry of Defense.”

In response to Netanyahu, al-Shara said: I had hoped this conversation would unfold differently.

Following the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s government and the rise of Ahmad al-Shara (al-Jolani) to power, efforts and contacts aimed at cooperating with the Zionist regime increased; however, this development did not prevent the continuation and intensification of Israeli military strikes on Syrian territory.

By expanding its airstrikes and targeting Syrian infrastructure and military positions, the Zionist regime demonstrated that even political shifts in Damascus—and attempts to engage with Tel Aviv—have failed to put an end to the regime’s attacks.
