PNN – After meeting in Pyongyang, the Chinese president and the North Korean leader announced that they would expand cooperation between them and strengthen coordination on regional security and development.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Russia Today, Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Pyongyang on Monday for his first visit to North Korea in nearly seven years.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un personally welcomed Xi and Peng Liyuan, accompanied by a ceremonial guard.
President Xi Jinping reiterated during his meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un that the long-standing friendship between China and North Korea will not change, Xinhua news agency reported.
In their speeches in Pyongyang, Xi Jinping and Kim Jong Un pledged to deepen political trust between the two countries, expand cooperation between them, and strengthen coordination on regional security and development, according to the statement.
