England: Any hospital in northern Gaza is not operational /Israeli attacks on medical facilities are unacceptable

PNN – The British ambassador to the United Nations considered the attacks of the Zionist regime on medical centers in Gaza unacceptable, which caused the closure of hospitals north of the Strip, and emphasized the necessity of protecting civilians and immediately stopping the destruction of hospitals.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Barbara Woodward said during a speech at the United Nations Security Council meeting, referring to the critical situation in Gaza: We are all appalled by the deteriorating health situation in Gaza. Since October 7th, many medical centers have been destroyed and more than 1,000 medical personnel have been killed, injured or arrested. Despite repeated pleas for help, these pleas have been ignored.

Referring to the forced evacuation of Kamal Adwan hospital in northern Gaza, he said that now there is no active hospital in this area and limited access to medical services has aggravated the acute malnutrition of children, the risk of famine and the spread of infectious diseases.

Russia: Israel should immediately end the war in Gaza

The British ambassador stated that according to international humanitarian laws, civilians and medical personnel should be protected and added: Israel is responsible for ensuring civilian access to critical medical care and providing safe conditions for medical personnel to operate. We ask Israel to adhere to its obligations under Security Council Resolution 2286 and clarify the whereabouts of the medical workers who have been detained from hospitals in northern Gaza.

He emphasized the need to strengthen the role of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) in providing medical services and criticized Tel Aviv’s decision to ban the activities of this international organization in occupied Palestine: Britain categorically rejects any attempt to undermine UNRWA’s mission.

Woodward stated: Israel must do more to address this crisis urgently, and both sides must end this war. We will continue to push for an immediate ceasefire, the release of hostages (Israeli prisoners), and greater protection for civilians, more aid to Gaza, and long-term peace and stability.

The Zionist regime has started a devastating war against the people of the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, during which thousands of Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been martyred or injured. In addition, widespread destruction and severe famine have brought human conditions to an unprecedented crisis.

This regime has also banned the activities of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) in the occupied territories through legal approval and violates the resolutions of the Security Council and the orders of the International Court of Justice to stop the war and prevent genocide. Despite all these crimes, Israeli authorities have admitted that a year after the start of the war, they still have not been able to achieve their goals, including the destruction of the Hamas movement and the return of Zionist prisoners.
