PNN – The Yemeni army has announced the complete clearing of the Jabal Habashi district in Taiz and the destruction of Saudi-backed mercenary military formations south of Bab al-Mandab.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; a military source told Yemen’s official news agency, Saba, on Friday that Yemeni armed forces succeeded in shattering the concentrations and military formations of Saudi-aligned forces across the entire Jabal Habashi district in Taiz province and completely driving them out of the area.
In a separate development on the southern front, the same military source told Saba that Yemeni armed forces managed to break up an attack and dismantle the military formations of Saudi-aligned forces that were advancing from Lahj province toward the area south of Bab al-Mandab.
According to this source, these clashes resulted in heavy casualties—with dozens of Saudi-backed mercenaries killed or wounded—and the destruction of several military vehicles belonging to the aggressor forces.
These developments are taking place within the context of large-scale operations by Yemeni forces in Taiz Province and strategic areas near the Bab al-Mandab Strait. Jabal Habashi holds significant military importance due to its command over the high ground overlooking the city of Taiz and its vital supply routes.
