PNN – A senior Fox News anchor refuted and corrected Trump’s remarks regarding the network’s reporting on Iran while on air.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Donald Trump faced a direct response from Bret Baier, a senior Fox News anchor, after criticizing a report on Iran by the network’s foreign correspondent, Jonathan Hunt; in this response, Baier effectively rejected Trump’s version of the Fox News report and corrected the U.S. President on air.
On the social media platform Truth Social, Trump had accused Hunt of presenting an inaccurate report on Iran and called on Bret Baier to rein in his “incompetent subordinates” and fire Hunt. Trump had also claimed that it was Iran—not the United States—that sought negotiations and a deal.
After Trump’s post was aired, Baier responded: First of all, Jonathan Hunt is not a sycophant; he is a great reporter.
The Fox News host then directly corrected Trump, saying: Mr. President, we didn’t say you wanted to meet. In fact, we played the audio of you saying you didn’t want to meet and that no negotiations are underway.
Bayer explained that the Fox News report concerned efforts by U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to meet with G20 nations and increase pressure on Iran. He also noted that U.S. allies in the Persian Gulf—including Qatar—are working in Tehran to persuade Iran to make concessions.

This confrontation occurred after Trump, in his post, had not only attacked the Fox News reporter but also called on Bret Baier to correct the conduct of his staff; yet, instead of accepting the criticism, Baier rejected Trump’s narrative on camera and explained the details of the network’s report to him.
