From the October War to Al-Aqsa Storm; How was Israel surprised?

From the October War to the Al-Aqsa Storm; How was Israel surprised?

According to Al Jazeera, the Zionist regime may have been seriously surprised only twice in its history; Once in the afternoon of October 6, 1973 and the other at dawn on October 7, 2023, these two events are half a century apart.

Since the declaration of its formation on the Palestinian land in 1948 with the broad support of the major Western powers, this regime has often been in control of the initiative; It attacked, developed and occupied lands.

But the opposite party, the Arabs, who the great powers demanded to separate a part of their land to establish a Jewish state, often faced defeat and at best it was a partial or spiritual victory for them.

Nakbat, rape and then failure
Let’s go back to the first war in May 1948. The biggest summary to describe it is that this war established the establishment of the Zionist regime and made it a reality, while the Arabs called it “Nakbat”, without answering this question. Ask how the land of Palestine was lost so easily and how these countries failed with their armies against the Zionist groups?

The Second World War was in 1956, when the Zionist regime invaded Egypt on October 29, and was soon joined by Britain and France, and the largest Arab country was hit by aerial bombardment and its air force was destroyed.

After that, an offensive operation was started to occupy the Suez Canal, but with the strong intervention of the Soviet Union, which was a world superpower at that time, and with a strong warning to the Zionist regime, Britain and France, this was not possible, and the United States also asked them to withdraw.

the third war; The defeat of the Arabs and the development of occupation
The third war was in June 1967, which was simply known as “failure”. The Zionist regime was on one side and Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Iraq and with technical assistance from Lebanon, Algeria, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait were on the other side, but the result was that the Zionist regime occupied three times more Palestinian land than the occupied territories of 1948. did

The Zionist regime captured the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, the Sinai Desert of Egypt and the Golan Heights of Syria.

From October to Al-Aqsa storm
Fifty years and one day after the October War, a second surprise began under similar circumstances. The enemy continues his aggressions; It besieges Gaza, violates the sanctuaries, and proceeds to implement its plans to destroy the Palestinian issue and Judaize the land. His most recent development is getting closer to agreements to normalize relations with some Arab countries.

storm
In such a situation, reaction was necessary, although at any cost. This was something that the Palestinian resistance, led by the Ezzedine Qassam Brigades, carefully planned. They explained the reasons and details of this action in a statement.

This operation became known as “Al-Aqsa storm”, but the reality was that it was the biggest attack on the Zionist regime in the last few decades. In the early hours of this attack, hundreds of Zionists were killed and more than two hundred people were captured.

The comparison between the army of the Zionist regime and the Arab armies may be acceptable, but in the Al-Aqsa storm, the Palestinian resistance against this regime, which was faced with all kinds of advanced weapons and extensive support from the great world powers, fought without any of these weapons.

Nevertheless, this surprise, like the passing of October 1973, confirmed that the Zionist regime is not invincible, as it advertises, and that resistance is the only solution.
