PNN – The head of the self-proclaimed Syrian government opposed Donald Trump’s request to carry out an attack against Lebanon’s Hezbollah.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Ahmed al-Sharaa (Golani), the self-proclaimed head of the Syrian government, stated in an interview that both the Syrian and Lebanese people have suffered under the previous government and that the solution to the Lebanese crisis does not lie in war and bombing cities.
He continued by saying that Trump has expressed his displeasure with what is currently happening in Lebanon, but his statements were misinterpreted.
Finally, Jolani claimed that Syria’s approach is based on rebuilding support for the Lebanese government, strengthening its institutions, and seeking a solution that is acceptable to all.
He said: Syria will not move towards entering Lebanon and there are other ways than war.
Golani claimed: We are ready to talk with Hezbollah at a common table if it is in the interest of Syria and Lebanon.
He continued: Damascus extends its hand to the Lebanese on a daily basis to help find a solution.
