According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Hazem Qassem, spokesman for the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), announced today, Wednesday, that the movement is fully prepared to hand over all areas of governance in the Gaza Strip, including the security file, to the “National Committee for the Administration of Gaza.”
The Hamas spokesman called on the mediators to facilitate the entry of this committee into the Gaza Strip as soon as possible, because the issue of accelerating the entry of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza into the Strip and the start of its activities has been one of the main themes of the recent Hamas movement talks in Cairo.
Qassem emphasized: We have once again emphasized our full readiness to hand over all areas of governance, including the security file, to this committee and our maximum cooperation for the success of its missions.
The Hamas movement spokesman criticized the Security Council’s performance, saying: It is unacceptable that the Security Council, after months of forming this committee, is still unable to provide the conditions for its entry into Gaza and is practically passive in the face of the Zionist regime’s demands.
He expressed hope that the mediators’ efforts to have the National Committee enter the Gaza Strip as soon as possible will be successful, in order to pave the way for organizing the situation in the region and beginning a real aid process that will alleviate some of the people’s suffering.
