PNN – A Hebrew media outlet revealed that a large number of soldiers in the Israeli army are being sexually assaulted and raped.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the Haaretz newspaper wrote in a report published this Tuesday morning: Last year, we witnessed a significant jump in the registration of rape and sexual assault cases in the Israeli army.

Citing a report submitted by the Israeli army to the Knesset (Parliament) Foreign Affairs and Security Committee, the Hebrew-language media outlet revealed that we are witnessing a sharp and sharp increase in sexual assaults within the Israeli army structure compared to the years before the start of the Israeli war (before 2023).

According to data confirmed by the Israeli army, more than 2,420 cases of sexual assault were registered in the Israeli army in 2025 alone, while this number was 1,744 in 2022, the year before the war.

Some Zionist experts claim that due to the increase in the call-up of forces, the number of such acts and violations has also increased, while the lack of sufficient control over military units and units should not be easily overlooked.

According to existing reports, 73 percent of the cases complained about involved sexual assault in war and military situations.

However, it has been found that 71 percent of complaints do not even reach the stage of a criminal complaint, and more than 59 percent of these cases are settled in the pre-trial stage between the parties, while only 10 percent of them have reached verdicts.

The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, citing this report, revealed that 1,798 of the sexual assault victims were in compulsory service, 188 were in the reserve forces, and 140 were cadre officers, while 108 civilians were also victims in IDF units.

However, according to the statistics announced, only 42 of these cases resulted in indictments.

Meanwhile, a female member of the Israeli Knesset asked in response to these statistics: How can we really achieve victory with an army in such conditions?

However, an Israeli army commander who attended a meeting of the Knesset Security and Foreign Policy Committee said: We have been forced to deploy an officer to each unit of the Israeli army to assist female soldiers.

He also revealed that a large number of soldiers, especially female soldiers, who are sexually assaulted prefer to keep the issue quiet and refuse to file a complaint.

It is worth noting that, according to a report published today on the Israeli Knesset information website, one in five Israelis in the Israeli higher education structure has been sexually assaulted.
