Hebrew media: This is Netanyahu’s final political maneuver.

final

PNN – A widely-read Zionist media outlet has described today’s Israeli elections as the final electoral endeavor in the political career of Benjamin Netanyahu.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; the Hebrew-language news and analysis website Walla stated in an analytical report: Regardless of whether you oppose or support Benjamin Netanyahu, you must accept the reality that this is the last election in which he is a candidate. If we set aside political maneuvering and approach the matter with rationality, this election marks the end of the road for Netanyahu.

Nir Kipnis, the author of this analytical report, argues that it makes no difference whether you are contemplating this out of fear—wondering, “What will become of us?”—and a sense of helplessness, or out of relief that this “seizure of power” is finally coming to an end; in either case, it is a new sensation—one to which we have not yet fully grown accustomed.

Netanyahu celebrated his 77th birthday a few days ago. This implies that even if his ideal vision were to materialize—a scenario currently unsupported by any opinion polls—and he were permitted to form a government based on the political bloc he has managed to consolidate, and even if that government were to complete its full term, he would be 81 years old by the time the next elections arrive.

Regardless of various issues—and even if reports regarding the deterioration of his health are inaccurate—at his age, one can no longer expect him to serve as a full-time prime minister.

According to this website, the significance of these figures lies in the fact that—barring another round of snap elections, an option that is always a possibility in Israel—this marks the final time Netanyahu will run in a general election. His participation in such elections began over 30 years ago, in 1996—the very election in which he first ascended to the office of prime minister.

Elsewhere in the text, the author writes: What has caused so many people to loathe him is his very own “secret weapon”—a lust for power, coupled with the conviction that if he does not occupy the seat of power, both he and the rest of us will perish. Consider any other politician you know in the context of the aftermath of the October 7th debacle: is there anyone among them who could survive such a catastrophe—at least in political terms?
