Israel Hayom to Netanyahu: What was Trump’s request for support?

Israel Hayom

PNN – According to the newspaper Israel Hayom, nothing is free these days, and Trump will demand something in return from Netanyahu.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; this Zionist regime media outlet—referencing the US administration’s declared support for the criminal Netanyahu in the upcoming elections in the occupied Palestinian territories—wrote that, in exchange for this electoral backing, the US President seeks to reshape the regional situation—including the establishment of a Palestinian state—and expects the next Israeli government to support this process.

According to this Zionist media outlet, the consolidation of security ties between Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the Persian Gulf states—amid the conflict involving Iran and the confrontation with the Houthis (Ansarullah of Yemen)—is a key factor that prompted U.S. President Donald Trump to declare his support for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of the elections.

This decision followed extensive deliberations within the White House and was intended, among other things; to ensure that a future Netanyahu-led government—should he succeed in forming one—would not obstruct the political initiatives Trump envisions for the post-war period.

The text further notes that it is no coincidence that Trump, in his message of support posted on the social media platform “Truth,” made specific reference to cooperation in the war against Iran.

According to two American sources, Trump—now halfway through his final presidential term—intends to use the remaining two years to cement his global political legacy. Two of the areas he seeks to bolster are directly linked to Israel and Netanyahu: First, his vision for a transformed Middle East, in which economic, commercial, energy, and other ties transcend national borders—including those involving (occupied Palestine). This vision entails massive investments in less-developed nations, including the Palestinian territories, aimed at fostering advanced economies and educational systems that promote learning rather than incitement and strife.

Israel Hayom then wrote that Trump began promoting this plan during his first presidential term. The plan also entails reaching an agreement between Israel and the Palestinians.

It further reported that, during a press conference on Tuesday, Netanyahu stated at least seven times that a Palestinian state would not be established. These remarks were made despite the fact that he is a signatory to Trump’s 20-point agreement—a deal reached about a year ago that led to the return of the hostages.

The agreement states: Once the reform program developed by the Palestinian Authority is credibly implemented, conditions may eventually be established for a credible path toward self-determination and the creation of a Palestinian state—an objective we recognize as the aspiration of the Palestinian people.

In other words, the agreement envisions a potential path leading to the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Should Netanyahu be tasked with forming a government following the elections, he will be compelled to find a resolution to the tension between U.S. demands and the ideology of the right-wing parties that comprise his current government.

Trump’s support for Netanyahu came after the Prime Minister’s allies within the White House prevailed over those who opposed his relationship with the U.S. President. Crucial negotiations took place on Thursday and Friday, and final communications between the White House and Netanyahu’s office on Thursday evening—Israel time—sealed the outcome.
