Israeli media: Insecurity is rampant in Nevatim

PNN – A Hebrew-language media outlet has revealed an escalation in insecurity and armed street clashes in the occupied Nevatim area.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Israel’s Channel 12 examined the security situation in the Nevatim area—located in the south (of occupied Palestine)—and, citing local residents, reported that armed clashes are taking place just meters away from their homes.

In this report, which was also broadcast during the television network’s news segment this Friday afternoon, residents of Nevatim expressed deep concern over the escalation of armed street conflicts in the area. They emphasized that these clashes occur in close proximity to homes—at times when children are out on the streets. Meanwhile, the police have stated that they are investigating these incidents.

The outlet’s correspondent further reported that one resident wrote in the neighborhood WhatsApp group: I am afraid to live here. I just returned from visiting a friend who was weeping bitterly because she is forced to flee. I feel that the day they come to kill us is drawing very near.

Given the current situation, this Zionist also leveled harsh criticism at the authorities, writing: It is absurd that Israel ignores—and fails to respond to—an ‘army’ operating within its own borders (criminal gangs), and this in an area not even considered hostile.

Another resident described the shooting and the terror it caused for the local children. In a local group chat, the resident wrote: The shooting took place just 40 meters from people’s homes—while our children were moving about in the area. The gate is left open and unguarded, simply because we live in a place that isn’t considered dangerous.

He stated that, given the possibility that future shootings could endanger the lives of local residents; a sense of insecurity is growing. He warned: The day they decide to act, our children will be killed.

Residents emphasize that the shooting incidents reported today are not the first of their kind in the area. They note that this reality is fueling mounting concern and are calling on the authorities to take immediate action to prevent any potential harm to residents and children.

In response to these reports, the police stated: Officers from the Ar’ur police station have launched an investigation into the incident.

It is worth noting that some Zionist media outlets identify the widespread distribution of weapons among settlers by Ben-Gvir as a significant factor contributing to the escalation of armed clashes across various parts of occupied Palestine.
