Earlier, the Italian Foreign Minister canceled his planned trip to the United States in response to Trump’s insulting remarks against Meloni.

Antonio Tajani wrote on the social network X on Friday: President Trump’s strong and insulting remarks against Giorgia Meloni are an insult to all of Italy.

He added: For this reason, I have decided to cancel my trip to the United States, which was scheduled for June 21 and 22.

This reaction came after Trump, in an interview with Italian television channel La7, claimed about his recent conversation with Meloni on the sidelines of the G7 summit: She begged me to take a picture with her. She wanted to have a picture with me so much that I felt sorry for her.
