PNN – In response to Iran’s warning about the presence of foreign forces in the Strait of Hormuz, the French President emphasized that Paris never intended to send a warship to this waterway and that the only issue raised was a security mission coordinated with Iran.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; French President Emmanuel Macron stated during a press conference in Nairobi on Sunday evening, in response to the Islamic Republic of Iran’s warning of a “decisive and immediate response” if French and British forces were deployed in the Strait of Hormuz: France has never considered sending warships to the Strait of Hormuz.

According to a report by French media outlet BFMTV, the French President emphasized that he “adheres” to this position, saying: I assure you that France has never considered deploying a military naval force in the Strait of Hormuz, but rather a coordinated security mission with Iran.

Emmanuel Macron made the remarks at a joint press conference with Kenyan President William Ruto after talks focused on strengthening bilateral relations and coordinating priorities in trade, investment and regional cooperation.

Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy Minister of Legal and International Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, previously wrote in a message on the social network X in response to reports about the decision of France and Britain to send their ships to the region: Any deployment and deployment of extra-regional destroyers around the Strait of Hormuz, under the pretext of protecting shipping, is nothing more than an escalation of the crisis, militarization of a vital waterway, and an attempt to cover up the true root of insecurity in the region.

He stated that the presence of French and British ships, or any other country, in the Strait of Hormuz will be met with a “decisive and immediate response” from the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

As a result of the US and Zionist incitement in the region and repeated illegal attacks against Iran’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced that all ship traffic through this important international waterway, which is located adjacent to the territorial waters and coastline of Iran, must be carried out in coordination with Iran, and ships associated with the US and the Zionist regime and their allies will not be allowed to pass.
