PNN – The deputy secretary of state in the Barack Obama administration expressed surprise at Iran’s asymmetric warfare capabilities against aggressors.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoted by the Independent, Frank A. Rose, the deputy secretary of state in the Obama administration for arms control, said: Iran’s power lies in its asymmetric capabilities, including ballistic and cruise missiles, drones, naval mines, cyber-operations, and proxy groups.
He added that Iran has retained at least 60 percent of its missile capability. Iran has also retained the ability to mass-produce low-cost suicide drones.
According to the former US official, Iran’s fast boats now pose a serious threat (to American aggressors and their followers) in the Strait of Hormuz and have allowed Iran to maintain a naval blockade.
He continued that despite the attack on Iran, the country still has the ability to cause serious disruption (to confront aggressors) in the region.
