PNN – The Pentagon has announced that the execution by firing squad of a U.S. serviceman Nidal Hasan sentenced to death will be broadcast live.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing Al Jazeera, the U.S. Department of Defense (the Pentagon) stated that the execution of Nidal Malik Hasan—a U.S. serviceman convicted of killing 13 people at a military base—will be carried out publicly and broadcast live.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth also remarked: We must ensure that the public sees this operation and that it is conducted openly.

A few days ago, U.S. President Donald Trump approved the execution of Nidal Hasan, a U.S. Army psychologist responsible for the deaths of 13 people at a military base.

In 2009, Nidal Hasan shot and killed 13 people at the Fort Hood military base in Texas; the attack also left 30 others wounded.

A Pentagon spokesperson announced that U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Trump have approved the execution of Nidal Malik Hasan by firing squad.

This would be the first U.S. military execution since 1961.
