PNN – In response to ongoing protests over poor economic conditions—and in an attempt to divert public attention away from the crimes committed by the French police against the people—the French Prime Minister threatened protesters, citing “established directives.”
According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing Europe 1; French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu addressed the continuing protests in the country today, Saturday. Seeking to downplay public concerns, he stated: We will not allow any political agenda to be imposed on the country through violence!
The French Prime Minister stated: At a time when some are attempting to discredit our law enforcement forces, I want to tell the French people that they can be proud of their police officers. They have faced extreme violence while protecting our fellow citizens, and they deserve our full support!
He further asserted: The directives issued are clear: prevent acts of violence, protect property and individuals, apprehend the perpetrators, and bring them to justice.
Meanwhile, mainstream media reports indicate that the French police have employed widespread violence against protesters, and that the Élysée is seeking to suppress the demonstrations.
