PNN – Vladislav Maslennikov, Director of the European Department at the Russian Foreign Ministry, acknowledged the evident ineffectiveness of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in resolving conflicts but emphasized that Moscow remains interested in the organization as a platform for exchanging views on regional issues.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing RIA Novosti; Maslennikov told reporters: Despite the OSCE’s apparent ineffectiveness in resolving regional conflicts, the organization remains significant as a dedicated platform for dialogue and finding solutions in this area.
Noting that Russia is prepared to pay its assessed contribution to the organization, he added that the OSCE’s approved budget for the current year fully addresses the Russian side’s requirements.
The diplomat further remarked: Therefore, we will continue to utilize the OSCE to consistently convey Russia’s positions to the other 56 member states, working in close cooperation with like-minded partners from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
Dmitry Polyanskiy, Russia’s Deputy Ambassador to the UN and Permanent Representative to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), previously stated that Volodymyr Zelenskyy refuses to cease his provocative actions against Moscow, emphasizing that the Ukrainian president is attempting to drag Europe and NATO into a war with Russia.
Speaking at a meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council, Polyanskiy said that Ukraine’s stockpiles of air defense interceptor missiles—which have become extremely scarce on global markets—have been exhausted.
He added: Nevertheless, the Ukrainian president shows no signs of halting his provocative actions against Russia.
Polyansky further noted: Zelensky is striving—at any cost—to escalate tensions and drag Europe and NATO into a direct conflict with Russia.
Observing that Ukraine is losing the last remnants of its industries and infrastructure, he also pointed out: Experts are increasingly warning that, with winter approaching, the country faces a total collapse of its energy and transport sectors.
Polyansky stated that Ukraine’s manpower on the precarious front lines is rapidly depleting.
Noting that the mobilization process on the streets of Ukrainian cities is becoming increasingly violent by the day, he pointed out that preparations are also underway to conscript Ukrainian women into military service, as there are virtually no men of military service age left in the country.
