The arrest of a number of suspects linked to ISIS in America

PNN – The Associated Press news agency reported today, quoting informed sources, that eight Tajik nationals suspected of having links with the ISIS terrorist group were arrested in the United States in recent days.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the Associated Press quoted these sources and wrote that these people had previously entered the country through the Mexican border and were arrested in New York, Philadelphia and Los Angeles for immigration violations.

An informed source told this media that these Tajik people entered the United States last spring and passed the government’s surveillance tour without providing any information that might show them as a potential terrorist threat.

The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security issued a statement confirming the arrest of “a number of non-citizens” for immigration reasons, but did not provide further details.

This year, Tajikistan and the United States signed a memorandum of cooperation on the implementation of a data comparison and evaluation system in order to track the movement of terrorists.

This memorandum was signed between Yusuf Rahman, the Attorney General of Tajikistan and Manuel Mikaller, the American ambassador to this republic.

Meanwhile, the website of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Tajikistan wrote: This surveillance system allows tracking the movement of terrorists using extensive technological surveillance, as well as helping to arrest and detain them.

The president of Tajikistan announced the loss of 24 citizens of this country in terrorist and suicide attacks and said: This inhuman act of theirs harms the reputation of the Tajik government and nation in the world.

Imam Ali Rahman did not mention any specific country or incident in his meeting with the activists and religious authorities of Tajikistan and said: 24 citizens of Tajikistan committed terrorist acts in 10 countries, and now more than four thousand citizens of this country are wanted for committing extremist and terrorist acts.
