The New York Times reported; Aid to Israel and Ukraine reduces the US military strength.

The New York Times reported that aid to Israel and Ukraine reduces the US military strength.

The New York Times, citing American officials, announced that the Pentagon officials are now investigating whether the arms aid to Israel and Ukraine will reduce the military strength and reserves of the United States.

According to the New York Times, the Biden administration sends military weapons to Ukraine and Israel monthly, weekly, and even daily; A topic that seems to be the same.

In early August, the US Department of Defense announced that since Joe Biden took office in January 2021, Washington has provided $56.1 billion in security assistance to Ukraine!

As Biden’s presidency draws to a close, Washington’s further military aid to Kyiv depends on the outcome of the November US presidential election.

Kamala Harris, Biden’s deputy, who will most likely be the candidate of the Democratic Party after he withdraws from the nomination, if he wins the American elections, will probably adopt a policy similar to Biden’s policy on Ukraine, and the other hand, if Donald Trump wins Trump, the Republican candidate, will be different. Trump has repeatedly threatened and warned about cutting off financial and military aid to Kyiv.

According to a report published by the Pentagon, since the beginning of the war in Ukraine in February 2022, the United States has provided more than 55.4 billion dollars to Ukraine.

In this report, it has provided a list of defense ammunition, artillery, mortar systems, anti-tank and anti-ship missiles, tanks, helicopters, drones, and a dozen hardware and weapons.

Meanwhile, the Pentagon yesterday unveiled a new military aid package worth 1.7 billion dollars for Ukraine, most of which consists of air defense ammunition, artillery shells and mortars, small arms, and explosives. This package is the 62nd equipment package that will be provided to Ukraine from the Pentagon arsenal in August 2021.

Previously, proposals for military aid to Kyiv to get the green light from Congress faced many challenges, so this year a $61 billion package was undecided in the US Congress for months due to opposition from Republicans, and was finally approved in April with much struggle. .
