The lawsuit was filed after a report was published in which a controversial congratulatory letter attributed to Trump in 2003 to Jeffrey was leaked.
What was the reason for Trump’s complaint?
In July 2025, the Wall Street Journal reported on a special album celebrating the 50th anniversary of the birth of Jeffrey Epstein, the notorious and corrupt American businessman, which contained a letter written on Trump’s behalf.
According to the newspaper, the letter contained sexually explicit text and was surrounded by a simple drawing of a naked woman. The signature “Donald Trump” was located directly below a specific part of the drawing.
Trump immediately called the letter a fake and considered it part of an attempt to destroy his reputation.
But a federal judge in Miami dismissed Trump’s lawsuit.
