PNN – The President of Ukraine stated that Kyiv has yet to receive $16 billion in aid promised by the United States.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing the Interfax news agency, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy complained that his country has not yet received approximately $16 billion of the aid pledged by the United States.

In an interview with the television network TSN, Zelenskyy said: Based on prior agreements and past decisions, the disbursement of $16 billion in U.S. financial aid has been halted, and another $16 billion has not been provided.

According to Zelensky, Kyiv must fight hard to secure these financial resources.

Zelensky acknowledges the severe consequences of Russian attacks on Ukraine’s power plants.

In this interview, the Ukrainian President also acknowledged that Russian attacks on the country’s power plants have had severe consequences, with every single power plant in Ukraine having sustained some form of damage.

According to Zelensky, the fallout from Russian attacks on energy infrastructure has become Kyiv’s primary challenge. In this regard, he urged Ukraine’s allies to provide the equipment needed to repair the country’s power grid as quickly as possible.

The Daily Telegraph reported a day earlier that Donald Trump might increase pressure on Ukraine following the country’s congressional elections—depending on the election results—in order to compel Kyiv to reach a peace agreement with Russia.
