Zionist official: Türkiye’s attack on Syrian Kurds should be a wake-up call for Israel.
According to Al Jazeera Qatar, Yair Golan, the head of the Israeli Labor Party, told the regime’s Walla news agency: “Turkey’s threats against the Syrian Kurds should be a cause for concern for Israel.”
He added: “We must take the initiative in supporting the Kurds so that we do not face Turkey and Sunni extremists.”
Golan’s statements came a few days after the Jerusalem Post, published in the occupied territories on December 9, a day after the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s government, reported that Syrian Kurdish officials had asked Israel for help.
According to the report, Kurdish representatives have contacted Israeli officials and asked them for support.
According to the report, Israel also views the Kurds as a friendly entity and is cooperating with Western countries to ensure the security of the Kurds in Syria.
It was also said that Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar recently stressed the need to support the Syrian Kurds in a meeting with his European and American counterparts.
