Zionist writer: Trump’s defeat signals the decline of Israel’s standing

PNN – A correspondent for the Zionist regime’s broadcasting authority has stated that Donald Trump’s defeat also signals a decline in Israel’s standing.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; as Zionist circles react to the outcome of the U.S. elections—marked by a heavy defeat for President Donald Trump and the Republican Party—Gili Cohen, a prominent Zionist writer and political correspondent for the Zionist regime’s broadcasting authority, offered an analysis. She stated that the Republican Party’s defeat in the U.S. midterm elections and the Democratic Party’s control over both chambers of Congress represent not only a setback for President Donald Trump, but—given the growing criticism of Israel within both parties—also signify a decline in Israel’s standing in the United States.

Trump’s Defeat Signals a Decline in Israel’s standing

Gili Cohen added that the Democratic Party’s control over both chambers of Congress aligns with the increasingly negative stance American citizens have taken toward Israel in recent years. Although Democrats—much like Republicans—have historically been committed to supporting Israel, significant divisions now exist within the Democratic Party on this issue, and criticism of Israel has become clearly evident.

In an article titled “The Defeat in the United States Is Not Just for Trump, but Also for Israel’s Standing,” this Zionist author emphasized that the American press, in its analysis of the U.S. election results, has focused on two key issues: U.S. aid to Israel and the prospect of war with Iran.

He stated that Trump’s remarks on election day regarding his intention to cut U.S. aid to Israel reflect a trend in American public opinion—rather than being merely a fleeting campaign statement—especially amid growing astonishment among Americans over the continued annual provision of $3.8 billion to Israel.

The Challenge of Cutting U.S. Funding for Israel

The article further notes that Israel’s security and political establishment previously took U.S. aid for granted, at times even treating it as an integral part of the country’s security budget. However, the Americans are now questioning the value of continuing this funding—even in light of agreements that channel a portion of the money back into the U.S. industrial sector—particularly given the thriving global defense technology market.

The author of this piece noted that it was, in fact, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who—prior to the ratification of a new ten-year funding agreement—proposed a halt to aid as a preemptive measure to address shifts in American public opinion.

He added that Netanyahu and his advisor, Ron Dermer, believed that an Israeli announcement regarding the cessation of ten-year funding might pave the way for a new, definitive agreement with the United States, while simultaneously ensuring the continued flow of U.S. financial aid to the Israeli military for the time being. However, Trump announced this move without providing sufficient explanation or prior notice regarding the details.

A correspondent for the Zionist regime’s broadcasting authority further emphasized that the timing for the cessation of U.S. funding to Israel remains unclear. This announcement could imply that aid might be halted at the end of 2026—depriving Israel of $7.6 billion over the remaining two years of the agreement—or, alternatively, that the agreement might simply expire as scheduled at the end of 2028 without being renewed.

The note further states that the American stance toward Israel is also linked to opposition regarding a potential war with Iran. Recently, The New York Times reported that Israel shared sensitive intelligence with officials in Washington indicating that Iran is considering the use of dangerous weapons against its adversaries.

Gili Cohen noted that, according to reports from the same media outlet, American circles view this Israeli action as part of Netanyahu’s efforts to drag the United States into a war with Iran. In fact, the American public—and even supporters of the Republican Party—perceive Israel as the party responsible for drawing the U.S. into a costly war with Iran.

The Zionist writer stated that the costs of a war with Iran—manifesting not only in fuel prices but also in military expenditures amounting to billions of dollars—are impacting the daily lives of Americans and have fueled their anger.
