PNN – The war in Gaza has entered its 453rd day while the occupying army of the Zionist regime continues to bomb various areas of the Gaza Strip and its attacks have left about 154 thousand martyrs and wounded since the beginning of the war. And in the meantime, journalists and medical staff, along with children and women, are a significant part of these victims.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, since the beginning of aggressive attacks on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, the Zionist regime has not hesitated to commit any crime and has targeted children, women, medical staff and journalists regardless of international laws.
It has been 453 days since the brutal attacks of the Zionist regime on the Gaza Strip, and for some time now, due to the lack of access to food and safe water, children and even adults has been showing symptoms of malnutrition and dehydration. The Palestinian Civil Defense Organization, like other international organizations, has declared that there is no house in the Gaza Strip that has the most basic necessities of life, and the deterioration of health and food security conditions and the lack of access to the simplest and most basic necessities of life are proof of these conditions.
In this regard, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip has announced in its latest statistics that 153,879 Palestinians were martyred and wounded during the attacks of the Zionist regime on the Gaza Strip.
The ministry announced: Since the beginning of the Zionist regime’s attacks on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, 45,541 Palestinians have been martyred and 108,338 Palestinians have been injured.
The ministry further announced that as a result of the continued attacks, many bodies of Gazans are still left under the rubble and relief organizations are unable to pull them out from under the rubble, and now 11,200,000 civilians are still missing and under the rubble.
Women and children
Meanwhile, the Zionist regime claims to be targeting the fighters of Hamas and other Islamic resistance groups in Gaza, which evidence and statistical data clearly show that Tel Aviv is bombing civilians with the aim of genocide in its brutality against the Palestinians.
In this regard, the latest statistical data about the Gaza war show that out of the 45 thousand and 541 dead in this war, a significant part of them are defenseless women and children.
According to the statistics of the information office of the Palestinian government in the Gaza Strip, since the beginning of the attacks on the Gaza Strip, 17,818 children have been martyred.
Women are among other civilians who have suffered the most from this war. So far, we have witnessed the death of 12,287 Palestinian women in this war, and in general, more than 70% of the casualties of the Gaza war are women and children.
Martyr reporters
Along with women and children, the war in Gaza has been one of the bloodiest wars in the world against reporters and journalists.
In this regard, the Ministry of Health of Gaza has announced that since the beginning of the war, 201 journalists have been martyred by the Zionist army.
This criminal attitude of the Zionists has also led to the wounding of 399 reporters and journalists in the Gaza Strip.
In its latest crime against journalists, the Zionist regime killed five journalists on the 447th day of the war.
These journalists were martyred during the air attack of the Zionist regime on the live broadcast vehicle of the Quds channel in front of the Al-Audeh hospital in the Nusirat camp.
The Palestinian media also announced the names of these journalist martyrs as “Fadi Hassuna”, “Ibrahim Al-Sheikh Ali”, “Mohammed Al-Daa”, “Faisal Abu Al-Qamsan” and “Ayman Al-Jadi”.
In the statement of the Hamas movement, it is stated: On the World Press Freedom Day, we point out the role of the media in the battle of “Al-Aqsa Storm” and emphasize that the crimes of the occupiers against journalists and reporters have not and will not hide the reality of terrorism and aggression.
Hamas added: Despite these crimes, the occupying regime could not prevent the entry and confirmation of the Palestinian narrative at the Arab, Islamic and international levels.
In this regard, Carlos Martínez de la Serna, director of the US-based Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), says: “This is one of the most blatant attacks on press freedom that I have ever seen.”
Treatment staff
The healthcare sector of the Gaza Strip is also one of the sectors that suffered the most damage during the 15-month war of the Zionist regime against this strip.
The destruction of healthcare facilities and the loss of medical personnel have severely hampered the ability to provide immediate care to the increasing number of casualties and exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Medical staff in Gaza hospitals have also been one of the targets of the war in Gaza, and according to the latest statistics published by the Gaza Ministry of Health, since the beginning of the war, 1,686 doctors and medical staff have been martyred in the attacks of the Zionist regime.
Also, numerous reports have been published that show that the workers of the health department in Gaza have been arrested by the Zionist forces, brutally interrogated, and some have been martyred.
In June, it was also revealed that “Iyad Rantisi”, who was the director of the maternity department of Kamal Adwan Hospital, died under torture in custody after being arrested by the occupying forces of the Zionist regime in November.
Dr. Saeed Jodeh was the only orthopedic doctor in the north of the Gaza Strip who was martyred in the attack of the Israeli army.
The Palestinian Information Center, while announcing this news, added that this Palestinian doctor was going from Kamal Adwan Hospital to Al-Awda Hospital in the north of the Gaza Strip to examine some patients and wounded, when he was targeted by the Israeli occupation forces and was martyred.
