PNN – An Iraqi media outlet announced that flights from Tehran to Najaf will resume on Wednesday.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; the Iraqi outlet “Al-Ahad” reported that the first flights from Tehran to Najaf will take place next Wednesday.
Citing Middle East News, a well-informed source close to the Iraqi government had previously reported that the ban on Iranian flights entering Najaf Airport would be lifted within the next 24 hours.
The source emphasized that this decision followed efforts by the Iraqi government to secure an exemption for Najaf Airport from US Treasury Department sanctions, as well as the reaction of Iraqi politicians and the public to the ban.
