PNN – John Kirby, spokesman and strategic communications coordinator of the National Security Council of the United States of America, announced that the Islamic Republic of Iran is still ready to take action against Israel following the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas’s political office in Tehran.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, John Kirby, the spokesman and coordinator of strategic communications of the US National Security Council, told reporters on Friday local time about the possible retaliation by Iran and Hezbollah: I am not going to talk about probabilities and explain information evaluations. The situation is still very dangerous. I cannot predict what Iran is going to do. We believe they are still ready to take action. Therefore, we must be ready and we are.

This spokesperson of the US government stated: We have strengthened our military capabilities in the region and we are checking it every day.

Kirby also said: In the case of Hezbollah, I will not enter into a specific intelligence evaluation, but we must definitely take the rhetoric that is published by Hezbollah seriously. We know that almost every day there is an exchange of fire on the border between Lebanon and Israel. The situation should not get out of control.

Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in response to the question of whether Iran will refrain from attacking the Israeli regime so that the ceasefire negotiations continue? He said: Iran’s response time will be carefully adjusted to ensure that this happens at a moment of maximum surprise. Iran’s response should punish the aggressor for the act of terrorism and violation of Iran’s national sovereignty and strengthen Iran’s deterrence capability to cause deep remorse in the Israeli regime and thus act as a deterrent. He added: In addition, Iran’s response must be carefully adjusted to avoid any possible adverse effect on a possible ceasefire [in Gaza]. Furthermore, Iran’s response must be carefully tailored to avoid any potential adverse impact on a potential ceasefire [in Gaza].
