PNN – Marine Traffic acknowledged that using the Iranian route in the Strait of Hormuz remains the priority.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; the maritime tracking website Marine Traffic stated that the Iranian route in the Strait of Hormuz remains the priority for passage.

This international website reported that maritime traffic patterns in the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandeb have diverged significantly. Transits through the Strait of Hormuz fell by 28% to 77, while cargo ship voyages dropped from 45 to 33.

Marine Traffic further noted that of the 40 transits recorded, 32 utilized the Iranian route.

The situation at the Bab al-Mandeb contrasted with that of the Strait of Hormuz; transits there rose by 9.7% to 248, and cargo ship traffic increased from 103 to 109.
