American Senator: There is no justification for continuing Israel’s war against the Palestinians

PNN – US Senator Bernie Sanders, emphasizing that Washington’s support and complicity with Israel’s oppressive war against the Palestinians should be ended, after Tel Aviv’s claim that the head of Hamas’s political office, Yahya al-Sanwar, was assassinated, said that now there is no justification for continuing Israel’s war in the Gaza Strip.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network from Anatolian news agency, Bernie Sanders issued a statement following the alleged assassination of Yahya al-Sanwar, the head of Hamas’s political office, saying: Now there is no justification for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and his extremist cabinet to continue their all-out war against the Palestinian people.

This independent senator from the state of “Vermont” noted that Israel’s crimes in the Gaza Strip “have resulted in the deaths of more than 42,000 Palestinians and the injury of 100,000 people, two-thirds of whom are women, children and the elderly.”

He emphasized that there is “no justification” for not accepting humanitarian aid and further delaying the agreement on the exchange of prisoners and ceasefire.

Sanders also said that there is no justification for the US to continue to support Netanyahu’s horrific policies, which are in clear violation of US and international law.

Referring to the law that was passed last month to prevent the sale of more than 20 billion dollars of American weapons to the Israeli regime, the US senator said that the Senate will vote on the “Joint Resolutions of Disapproval” (JRD) in November.

He, who has been calling for the end of American military aid to the Zionist regime for a long time, added: America’s complicity in this cruel and illegal war must be ended.

This statement was issued after the Zionist regime claimed on Thursday that it had assassinated the head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip, Yahya al-Sanwar.

This is the fourth time that the Israeli regime has claimed the assassination of al-Sanwar. The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has not yet given an official response to this claim by the Zionist regime.

Following the claim of the Zionist regime about the assassination of the head of Hamas’s political office, the spokesperson of the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced that we did not participate in the assassination of Senwar, while Joe Biden admitted that Washington was helping Tel Aviv in the assassination of resistance leaders.

Without referring to decades of Israeli crimes and the roots of the operation of October 7, 2023 (Operation Storm Al-Aqsa), the President of the United States said in support of this regime: Israel has every right to destroy the leadership and military structure of Hamas. Hamas is no longer able to perform the 7th of October.
