Zionist Regime on Brink of Defeat: Palestinian Official Analyzes Exodus of Israeli Ministers

In a recent interview, Ribhi Halloum, former Palestinian ambassador to Turkey and member of the Secretariat of the People’s Congress of Palestinians Living Abroad, shed light on the recent resignations of four Israeli ministers from the “War Council” amidst the escalating conflict in Gaza.

Ribhi Halloum attributed the resignations to the Israeli regime’s failure to achieve its political goals in the face of Palestinian resistance, despite eight months of continued aggression. He claimed that the resignations were not due to differences in political opinions, but rather an attempt to escape the inevitable defeat in the war against the Palestinian people.

The Palestinian official condemned the international community’s silence in the face of Israel’s “shocking” genocide in Gaza, warning that the lack of a practical response posed an existential threat not only to Palestine but also to the Islamic Ummah and global peace.

Halloum emphasized that the Zionist regime had not achieved its goals in the war, and instead, had suffered continuous blows from the Palestinian resistance. He also highlighted Benjamin Netanyahu’s failure to realize his three goals in the war, including the failed attempts to manipulate the political landscape by replacing resigned ministers with far-right forces.

In a separate context, Halloum discussed US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken’s eighth regional visit in less than two months, aimed at proposing a ceasefire plan to “save Israel” from the quagmire of destruction in Gaza. The Palestinian official viewed the ceasefire proposal as an attempt to rescue Israel from the blacklist of war criminal regimes before the international community and to defend Washington’s diplomatic efforts.

Halloum reiterated the Palestinian resistance’s three conditions for a ceasefire: a permanent cessation of war, complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, and a prisoner exchange. He emphasized that the battle and bravery of the Palestinian nation would continue until these demands are fulfilled, and that Gaza has historically never accepted defeat.

With the Zionist regime on the brink of defeat, Halloum’s remarks underscore the Palestinian resistance’s unyielding determination to achieve its goals and protect its people.
