PNN – The spokesperson for the Pakistani Foreign Ministry announced the presentation of a joint five-point initiative plan in cooperation between Islamabad and Beijing on the region.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al Jazeera, Islamabad and Beijing unveiled a joint five-point plan to stop conflicts in the Middle East on the eve of the Pakistani Prime Minister’s visit to China.
At the same time as intensive consultations between Iranian and Pakistani officials and an exchange of messages between Tehran and Washington, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Taher Andarabi announced that China supports its mediation efforts to end the war against Iran.
The Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman pointed to the presentation of a five-point joint initiative in cooperation between Islamabad and Beijing to advance the path to a political settlement.
He stated in a press conference: Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will begin his official visit to China tomorrow, Saturday, to discuss the latest developments in this joint plan aimed at ending the conflict in the Middle East.
In this regard, the Pakistani embassy in Tehran reported: Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsen Naqvi has held a new meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi to review proposals related to resolving existing disputes, and official sources also emphasize the continuation of bilateral meetings between the two sides.
The exchange of messages between Tehran and Washington in the context of the effort to reach an agreement continues, although consultations on the remaining issues have not yet been finalized.
On the other hand, the Reuters news agency reported, citing a Pakistani source: There are growing concerns that Trump may lose patience, and for this reason Islamabad is accelerating the process of transmitting messages between Tehran and Washington.
In response to a question about the country’s army commander’s visit to Tehran, the spokesperson for the Pakistani Foreign Ministry stated: The ministry does not have any information about his upcoming visit and any new developments will be announced in due course.
