Conservative approach of AIPAC in avoiding addressing Israel in election campaigns

PNN – “Politico” website, referring to the change in the public opinion of the American society towards the Zionist regime and the increase in sensitivities and criticisms against this regime in its attack on Palestinian civilians in Gaza, wrote: As the most important and powerful supporter of Israel in American politics, the American-Israeli Public Relations Committee (AIPAC) in a strategic decision continues its election campaigns without addressing the issue of Israel.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network from this American media, the American-Israeli Public Relations Committee (AIPAC), as the most prominent group supporting Israel (regime) in American politics, has pledged to invest tens of millions of dollars for this year’s congressional elections. Meanwhile, this group does not intend to focus much on the issue of Israel in its campaigns in support or opposition to election candidates.

This report added: The issue of Israel has only been raised in a few Republican contests. While this group did not talk about (regime) Israel at all in the Democratic primaries.

The group’s main sponsor, the United Democracy Project, released its first ad in one of the most influential Democratic primaries this year amid the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas and the regime’s attacks on Palestinians. However, in this ad, other topics were discussed besides Israel.

Next month, Jamal Bowman, a member of the progressives’ so-called “Squad” and staunch supporter of Palestine, is running against AIPAC-backed candidate George Latimer.

The important point is that these two people (Bowman and Latimer) have publicly argued over their positions on Israel, and this competition has become one of the main examples of the split in the Democratic Party on the issue of war in the Middle East. But the United Democracy Project, still in a targeted approach, has yet to explicitly mention Israel as a message in its campaign against Bowman.

Politico describes the priority of the “United Democracy Project” to support pro-Israel candidates and suppress candidates critical of this regime without directly addressing the issue of this regime and writes: The change of public opinion in the American society and the Democratic Party in support of the Palestinians is the main factor behind AIPAC’s recent position and has greatly complicated the effectiveness of the issue of Israel in the Democratic Party.
