Corbyn: The war in Gaza is an example of a living genocide

PNN – The former leader of the British Labor Party Jeremy Corbyn, who is considered a well-known supporter of Palestine, described the brutal crimes of the Zionist regime against the oppressed and defenseless people of Palestine as an example of a living genocide.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Jeremy Corbyn said in an interview with the English newspaper DDN: The war in Gaza is one of the most intense conflicts that I have ever witnessed. More than 34,000 people, including 15,000 children, were killed and many bodies were buried under the rubble.

Pointing out that the Zionist regime violates the resolution of the Security Council and the United Nations General Assembly, the rulings of the International Criminal Court and the United Geneva Convention, he added: Israel is trying to occupy the Gaza Strip and massacre the Palestinian people.

Accordingly, this British official called the London government’s decision to continue selling weapons to the Zionist regime shameful and said: While the US has warned about the possibility of suspending arms cooperation with Israel in the event of an attack by the regime on Rafah, David Cameron (British Foreign Secretary) insists that the government continues to send deadly equipment to Israel. This decision is a shame.

He described the humanitarian situation in Rafah as critical and said: I have traveled to Rafah several times. It is not a big city, but now it hosts more than one million Palestinians in a situation where there is no water, food and medicine and people are desperate. This is while only a few kilometers away (occupied Palestine), everything is available.

Corbyn blamed the current situation on the policies of Western governments and the mainstream media in support of the Zionist regime, which have created immunity for the Zionist regime.

At the same time, the former leader of the Labor Party stated that the policy of suppressing Palestinian supporters in Western countries has been ineffective and that the massive anti-Israel demonstrations in European and American capitals “have turned into a global movement to defend the rights of the Palestinian people and seek justice.”

During the past seven months, the Zionist regime has launched a massive massacre in Gaza and, while closing all the crossings and preventing the arrival of relief aid, has turned this area into a ruin.

This regime also plans to attack the border city of Rafah, where more than one million Palestinians have taken refuge, under the pretext of destroying Hamas. This issue has aroused international concern and they have warned the Zionist regime that such an action will worsen the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

Last month, the United Nations Security Council approved a resolution in support of an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip for the immediate transfer of humanitarian aid; But the Zionist regime, with the full support of Washington, has ignored this resolution and continues to kill the Palestinian people.

According to reports, more than 34,000 Palestinians have been martyred and more than 77,000 others have been injured in the attacks of the Zionist regime on the Gaza Strip.
