Early rise of Macron’s ally for the 2027 presidential election

PNN – Former French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe and ally of President Emmanuel Macron announced his readiness to run for the 2027 presidential election.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Reuters, in an interview published on Tuesday, Philippe announced his intention to participate in the 2027 French presidential election.

In an interview with “Le Poin” magazine, Philip said: I will be a candidate in the upcoming elections.

Meanwhile, according to the French constitution, Macron cannot serve a second term as president and cannot be nominated for a third time.

Philippe was the first Macron prime minister to leave the Republican Party after the 2017 election to join the Macron government.

Macron has emphasized that he will remain in power until the end of his term in 2027. Meanwhile, his allies have risen to maintain power.

In June, he decided to dissolve the parliament and hold new parliamentary elections. He is negotiating with different French parties and groups to find a new prime minister.

During his presidency, Macron faced important developments and crises, including the “yellow vest” street protests in 2018 and the corona restrictions of 2020.
