PNN – The Turkish Foreign Minister, sharply criticizing Tel Aviv’s policies, claimed that Israel is seeking to manufacture enemies in order to repair its international image, and emphasized that humanity can no longer tolerate this approach.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; in a live interview with CNN Türk, Fidan addressed Israel, stating that Tel Aviv is seeking new enemies to restore its international image—which, according to him, has been damaged following widespread global condemnation.

He said: Israel is trying to create enemies for itself.

The Turkish Foreign Minister added that his country has no reason to back down before any actor, emphasizing that Israel is not merely Turkey’s problem but a problem for the entire world.

According to Fidan, Israel’s current policies and mindset have become a burden that humanity can no longer bear.

He also addressed relations between Washington and Ankara, noting that the primary source of discord—U.S. support for the People’s Protection Units (YPG) in Syria, which Turkey regards as an offshoot of the PKK—was set aside during Trump’s second term.

Fidan also stated that Turkey and the United States share strategic perspectives on two key issues: ending the war in Ukraine and establishing stability in Syria.

Fidan further emphasized that U.S. President Donald Trump initially had no intention of attending the NATO summit hosted by Turkey, but a direct call from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan changed his mind.

He said: Had President Erdoğan not made the call, Trump would have had no intention of attending.

Fidan added that Erdoğan himself had previously stated this publicly.

He also identified Erdoğan’s vision of global leadership and the network of international trust he has built as key factors behind Turkey’s current standing on the global stage.

Fidan described the upcoming NATO meeting as the most significant summit in the alliance’s history, stating that the convergence of several major crises—including the Russia-Ukraine war, the shifting role of the United States in transatlantic relations, and growing European concerns regarding security—has redoubled the summit’s importance.

The Turkish Foreign Minister said: Europe has never felt so threatened since World War II.

According to him, both Russia’s aggression and the redefinition of the United States’ global role have placed simultaneous pressures on NATO.

Fidan also announced that, prior to the summit, Erdoğan received detailed reports from the Foreign Minister, the Defense Minister, the Head of the Directorate of Communications, the Head of the Defense Industry Agency, and other officials, and defined the framework for Turkey’s policy at the meeting.

He concluded by stating that, in addition to meeting with the US delegation, Turkey would hold bilateral talks with representatives from the UK, Germany, France, Italy, and several other nations, noting that many of these countries had requested meetings with Erdoğan.
