Haaretz: Netanyahu is leaving, but Israel will be destroyed with him

PNN – An Israeli writer in the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz published a bleak analysis of the future of the Zionist regime under the leadership of Benjamin Netanyahu, stating that the fate of Israel is tied to Netanyahu’s political fate in an unprecedented way.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Haaretz newspaper quoted Carolina Landesman as saying in an article that the future of the Zionist regime under the leadership of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is bleak. She stated that the fate of Israel is tied to Netanyahu’s political fate in an unprecedented way, and that with his departure, the Zionist regime will also be destroyed.

Referring to possible negotiations for Netanyahu’s exit from politics and the Supreme Court’s attempts to stall, Landesman expresses deep despair and says that Israel’s fate is already sealed. He states that the idea of ”the state is me” that Netanyahu and his supporters have promoted has now become a bitter reality.

He stressed that Netanyahu has managed to destroy all the “positive aspects” of society, the army, the judiciary, the media, and even the Knesset. Landesman stated that the army is divided, the judges are afraid, the media has become a mere entertainment, and the Knesset has become like a mental hospital. Also, Netanyahu’s opponents have somehow shared in this process by accepting his views on the existential threat of Iran and the impossibility of resolving the Palestinian issue.

The author points out that the world hates Israel and that anti-Semitism is back on the rise. He accuses Netanyahu of leading the world to a repeat of the Holocaust with his policies.

Criticizing the false hope of Israel’s separation from Netanyahu, Landesman believes that everyone, including the judges, the Israeli president, Netanyahu’s opponents, and even the ruling elite, loyal to “Israel,” actually supports Netanyahu.

In another part, he likens Israel to a body that has a malignant tumor that can no longer be cured. According to him, even if Netanyahu himself (the tumor) is removed, because the body (Israel) is already dead, there is no hope of salvation.

In the end, Landesman expresses skepticism about the Israeli president’s efforts to resolve the crisis, saying that these efforts are futile because the “bomb” has exploded many times and left deep wounds. He finally expresses hope that perhaps after the death of this cabinet, a new and positive rebirth will take place.
