PNN – A former White House press secretary from the Biden administration described her counterpart on the Trump team—Karoline Leavitt—as a liar serving the habitual liar of the Oval Office (Trump).
According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing the New York Post, Jen Psaki, the former White House press secretary under Joe Biden, criticized Karoline Leavitt, her counterpart on the Trump team, claiming that Leavitt faced almost no tough questions in the briefing room and showed no willingness to engage in good-faith dialogue.
Speaking on the program “MS NOW” (formerly known as MSNBC)—where she was hired after concluding her tenure as Biden’s spokesperson in 2021 and 2022—Psaki said: The relationship between the press and the White House is inherently meant to be challenging and adversarial. I mean, the job of the reporters in the room is to push for greater access and more information. Karoline Leavitt had no intention of engaging in good faith with the reporters and their tough questions.
The former White House press secretary under the Joe Biden administration added: Instead, she did her utmost to turn the press briefing room into her own personal safe space—a place where she rarely, if ever, had to answer a difficult question. After all, she held press briefings at most once or twice a week.
Jen Psaki accused Leavitt of repeatedly lying during her tenure and stated that she served only one person: Trump.
She said: The issue was the narrative of the version of the truth favored by that serial liar in the Oval Office (Trump). He never viewed his role as one of public service to the American people or as that of a public servant. Lewitt’s conduct tarnished the standing of the position.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump recently announced on his social media platform, Truth Social, that Karoline Leavitt—his White House spokesperson and one of his closest, most trusted aides—will step down from her position at the end of this month.
In announcing the news, Trump claimed that the decision was made to allow Leavitt to spend more time with her children and family.
