Sweilem explained: The primary reason for the opposition of decision-making bodies in the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) to this option is not military incompetence, but rather the fact that the consequence of any military “achievement” could mean the death of the US presence in the region.
The Palestinian analyst noted that any military conflict would inevitably lead to the widespread destruction of assets and infrastructure in the occupied territories and the Persian Gulf region, which would mean the loss of everything that Washington considered a strategic reserve and sought to dominate in the context of the global energy battle.
