PNN – Reuters reported that executives at the oil company Aramco have asked employees to evacuate the company’s headquarters.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Reuters—citing six informed sources—reported on Thursday that the oil company Saudi Aramco has instructed its staff to evacuate its headquarters in Dhahran and switch to remote work.
Aramco did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the matter.
This marks the first time since the start of the war that Aramco has ordered its staff to evacuate its headquarters.
Earlier this month, Yemeni forces—responding to Saudi Arabian aggression—attacked the company’s headquarters, causing extensive damage; the resulting fire spread to several floors of the building.
The complex houses an operations center that enables the world’s largest oil company to monitor its onshore and offshore oil rigs, refineries, export terminals, and thousands of kilometers of pipelines.
