PNN – The separatist region of Somaliland, in a bid to serve the Zionists, announced its readiness to confront Yemen on maritime routes.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network; the breakaway region of Somaliland, which has so far been recognized only by the Zionist regime, has announced its readiness to cooperate with the occupying regime in order to confront Yemen on maritime routes, as a courtesy to the Zionists.

Israel’s Channel 12 website reported that a senior official in Somaliland said that any instability in maritime security could lead to the development of understandings that could reach the level of a “security alliance” with Israel.

He added that Somaliland is ready to cooperate with partners such as the United States and the UAE, countries that have a presence in the port of Barbary, and that there is a possibility of forming a similar partnership with the Zionist regime. He said that Somaliland considers the Zionist regime a “strategic partner” in facing “common challenges.”

In this context, the Yemeni armed forces had previously emphasized that they had “their hand on the trigger” and were ready to intervene militarily against unjustified Israeli and American aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Yemeni army had warned that the security of the Bab al-Mandab Strait was in the hands of Yemeni forces and that any evil action by the enemies would be met with a successive response.

The separatist region of Somaliland is located in the northwest of Somalia and covers an area of about 175,000 square kilometers. The region unilaterally declared its “independence” from Somalia in 1991, but has not yet been able to gain official recognition from the international community.

On December 26 last year, the Israeli occupation regime recognized Somaliland as an independent state, a move that has sparked widespread condemnation within Somalia and in the region.

Talks are currently underway to establish an Israeli military base in the region. At the same time, an exchange of ambassadors between the two sides is being considered.
